CIRCULAR-MELIDES-PORTUGAL
Ressonancia
In the tranquil landscape of Mélides, this collective exhibition unfolds like a constellation of material gestures and affective resonances. It is a special celebration of life through art and collective experiences.
Each work, with its own language, traverses the porous threshold between memory and matter, between the internal landscapes we carry and the external environments that shape us. Drawing from a wide range of practices, from photorealistic representations of flora to iron sculptures forged in fire, from monochromatic meditations to brush strokes to immersive installations of objects, photography, sound, and shadow, the exhibition explores how form and images can speak of memory, intimacy, and time.
More than offering fixed narratives, the works presented here move within a field of tensions: scale, mass, and volume, interior and exterior, surface and edge. They conjure the ancestral and the contemporary, the personal and the planetary.
Some works reflect on classical figuration through fragmented elements of nature; others channel abstraction as a mode of renewal or disturbance.
What unites them is a shared sensitivity: an openness to materiality, gesture, and the poetic encounter between body, landscape, and memory.
Mélides becomes more than just a stage: it is a witness, a repository, a collaborator. The exhibition invites the viewer to inhabit a space of subtle listening: to textures, to transitions, and to what arises at the margins.
